Preventive Dentistry

Dr. Ricky Tin believes that most serious dental problems can be avoided with routine cleanings and proper home care. He emphasizes thorough preventive care at Villa Vista Dental, because it enables him to diagnose problems early and implement the most conservative treatment plan possible. Quality preventive care will help you enjoy a lifetime of strong, healthy smiles, and it can save you a great deal of time and money on future dental treatment, too!

Visit our office every six months for your periodic exam and cleaning. These appointments let our team keep a close eye on your oral health and stop problems before they start.

Using digital X-rays, we can take a closer look at your teeth and jawbone, diagnose cavities, and much more.

Sealants protect chewing surfaces of teeth, particularly molars, and keep food particles from getting stuck and causing decay. We use fluoride treatments to remineralize and strengthen tooth enamel.

If you or your child plays contact sports, an athletic mouthguard can help protect your teeth, cheeks, tongue, and jaw from major injuries.

Nighttime teeth grinding is more common than you might think, and prolonged grinding can damage teeth. We can design a custom nightguard for you to wear at night to prevent grinding and protect against damage.

Bad breath is caused by a variety of issues, including gum disease, tooth decay, and bad oral hygiene. We can treat the root cause to help rid you of this embarrassing condition.

When caught early, oral cancer is very treatable, so we screen for signs of oral cancer at each of your appointments.

Cosmetic Dentistry

While our primary concern is your oral health, we never underestimate the importance of having an attractive smile you’re proud to show off. At Villa Vista Dental, we aim to make sure that all of our patients are comfortable and confident in their smiles and teeth. We offer a complete range of cosmetic treatments to create the beautiful, healthy smile you’ve always wanted!

  • Life-Changing Smile Makeovers
  • Instead of coming in for multiple appointments to get a dental crown, we can design, fabricate, prep, and place a crown in a single visit to our office!

If you have a cavity and need a filling, we can place a tooth-colored composite filling that blends in perfectly with your surrounding teeth.

You don't have to live with being unhappy with your smile. Our variety of cosmetic services let us give you the smile of your dreams. You'll design your smile alongside our team, so you can rest assured you will love your new look.

Change the size, shape, or color of your teeth with porcelain veneers. We can cover chips and cracks, close small gaps, lengthen teeth, and whiten teeth too discolored for whitening.

Whitening your teeth is a quick, easy way to give your smile a boost. We offer in-office one-visit whitening and custom take-home whitening trays.

Get a straighter, more uniform smile in a fraction of the time with Six Month Smiles accelerated braces. They use high-tech wires and tooth-colored brackets to improve the alignment of your teeth.

If you're looking for a clear way to straighten your teeth, ClearCorrect orthodontics uses clear alignment trays to gently push your teeth into their ideal positions.

Restorative Dentistry

If you’re missing teeth or struggling with a chronic condition like gum disease or diabetes, you might need more than routine cleanings to keep your teeth looking and feeling their best. Dr. Ricky Tin offers a variety of restorative dental treatments that will not just restore your smile to its former health – they’ll make it look and feel even better than before!

Get a strong, natural-looking dental crown in only a single visit to our office, instead of coming in for multiple appointments.

Replace missing teeth permanently with dental implants that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. We can complete the whole process in our office, so no need for specialist referrals.

If you wear dentures that slip or click, we can use mini dental implants to stabilize your dentures, allowing you to talk and eat with confidence again.

We can use full or partial dentures, or a dental bridge, to replace a few or many missing teeth. Today's dentures and bridges look natural and feel comfortable.

Our team can complete a number of oral surgery procedures in-house, including bone grafting, which allows us to build up your jawbone in preparation for dental implants.

The third set of molars, known as wisdom teeth, usually come in during the early 20s. Quite likely, they'll need to be extracted, and we can complete that procedure here in our office.

Whether it's a tooth infection, deep decay, or serious damage to a tooth causing you pain, a root canal can help you feel better. We provide gentle root canal therapy and sedation options to keep you comfortable while we work.

Periodontal (Gum) Care

You may not notice signs of early gum disease, but our team can use X-rays and intraoral cameras to look for signs and develop a treatment plan to keep your gums and mouth healthy.

For deep or advanced gum disease, we may recommend laser gum therapy to remove the damaged tissue. Instead of traditional gum surgery that requires scalpels and sutures, laser gum therapy involves no cutting and a faster recovery time.

Some gum disease or infections can be treated with a local topical antibiotic treatment. Our team will prescribe the antibiotic and show you how to apply it to ensure quick healing.

If you have a gummy smile, where you show off too much gum and not enough tooth, we can correct that with cosmetic gum reshaping techniques.

Sedation Dentistry

For mild to moderate dental anxiety, we can provide nitrous oxide through a mask placed over the nose. The gas creates a sense of heightened relaxation while leaving you conscious throughout the procedure.

If you have more severe dental anxiety, we can prescribe a pill for you to take about an hour before your appointment. You'll still be conscious but will feel completely at ease while we work.
