Working Together to Keep You Safe

Villa Vista Dental has always focused on the health and well-being of our team and patients. With the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have instituted some new safety protocols recommended by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the American Dental Association (ADA) to enhance infection control. We acknowledge that some of these precautions won't be particularly convenient but we thank you for your patience and cooperation.

A New Look at Our Elk Grove, CA Office

Our team will look a bit different in our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Our office will look a little different too. We've installed sneeze guards for added protection and spaced out the chairs in the waiting room to allow for social distancing. Items that could be touched by multiple people and are difficult to sanitize like magazines, beverages, headphones, remote controls and toys have been removed. We've made some less obvious changes too, like new medical-grade air purifiers in treatment rooms and common areas to clean circulating air.

Appointment Scheduling

Additional time has been scheduled between appointments. This will allow time for extra sanitation of treatment rooms and common areas between patients and make it possible to keep appropriate distancing between individuals in the office. In most cases, we ask that only one person be present in the treatment room at a time. Patients will have the opportunity to condense multiple appointments into one block to limit the number of office visits. We are also offering special appointment times for our most vulnerable patients. Please let us know if you have a family member who needs special accommodations.

COVID-19 Questionnaire

Each patient will be asked a series of health screening questions on the phone when scheduling each appointment. There is much we don't know yet about COVID-19 and symptoms can vary among individuals. Therefore, if you experience a fever or feel sick in any way within 14 days of your appointment, please let us know. We will be happy to reschedule your appointment whether you feel your illness is related to the virus or not. We will review the COVID-19 screening questions again when you arrive for your appointment.

Upon Arrival

We have implemented a curbside check-in procedure. Call or text us from your car when you arrive and we'll let you know when we are ready for you to enter the office. Each patient will have their temperature taken with a touchless forehead thermometer. Use the hand sanitizer station at the front entrance. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the office for your convenience. Do your best to maintain a distance of six feet or more from other patients and the front office staff. Please wear a cloth mask or alternative nose/mouth covering until you are in the treatment room.
