Dr. Ricky Tin has proudly served the Sacramento and Elk Grove community since 2009. A graduate of UC Davis, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the prestigious University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and has continued to pursue advanced education throughout his career.
Dr. Tin is known for his gentle and thoughtful approach to patient care. Having experienced his own difficult dental visits as a patient, he understands firsthand the anxiety that many people feel about going to the dentist. This perspective has shaped his commitment to creating a practice where patients feel comfortable, respected, and never rushed. His philosophy is simple: patients deserve to feel heard, understood, and confident in the care they receive.
This philosophy also guides his approach to treatment planning. Dr. Tin believes in preserving healthy tooth structure whenever possible and takes a thoughtful, conservative approach to care. By carefully evaluating each situation and focusing on long-term outcomes, he helps patients maintain strong, natural smiles while avoiding unnecessary treatment.
Dedicated to clinical excellence, Dr. Tin regularly completes advanced postdoctoral training and is proud to have earned Fellowship status with the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD)—an achievement attained by fewer than five percent of general dentists. This distinction reflects his commitment to continual growth and delivering dentistry at the highest level.
Above all, Dr. Tin values the relationships he builds with his patients and the trust they place in him. He lives in Elk Grove with his wife, Terry, and their two children, Owen and Ellie. Outside of the office, he enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with his family. He is honored to care for the community he grew up in.
